Homework 10.2. Stop Motion Process.

If you can't tell, I got really into creating this little story. I loved it working with the stop motion, I thought it was so cute and fun! I hope you enjoy the story of this little monster friend that I created as much as I enjoyed creating him. I've documented my process (with some photographs) and below. I simply used cut paper and googly eyes as my materials, with a very precarious setup that involved a notebook and a wineglass as the stand for my phone. I used the app "I Can Animate Lite" for capturing my stop motion animation, and compiled everything, including sound and music, in iMovie. I also chose to slow down the Stop Motion clips that I compiled in iMovie a little but, just so it was an easier pace to read the words. Without slowing the pace, I had approximately 45 seconds of stop motion footage, which I slowed to a little over a minute.

Overall, I found this process to be both enormously entertaining and satisfying! I would absolutely do a project like this in my classroom, encouraging students to create and tell a little story of their own.
